The Indian cybersecurity department has identified several serious security loopholes in the famous WhatsApp application. Using vulnerabilities, fraudsters can easily take over your account and block it.


How does this happen. Attackers, having received your data, enter your phone number on their smartphone to activate WhatsApp. Of course, not having your SIM card in their device, they will be denied access and after 3 unsuccessful attempts, your login will be blocked for a day.


Next, they send an email to WhatsApp support, stating that your phone has been stolen or lost and asking them to suspend the account. Knowing law-abiding Americans, they fulfill their request, and the account is blocked indefinitely.
It seems that nothing terrible is happening, but this causes an extremely uncomfortable situation for the owners of WhatsApp. Why is this done? Hard to say.


If you take this news and add it to what is happening around the WhatsApp application, you get a sad picture. At the beginning of 2021, Vatsap amended the user agreement, which states that they can collect, and then transfer all data about you to social networks Facebook and Instagram. Which caused a lot of dissatisfaction from the users.


If you do not agree with these conditions, then after May 15, 2021, your account will switch to the simplified mode. You can only receive messages, but you will not be able to send them to other users. This will last a couple of months, and then, in case of refusal to accept the new rules, your account will be suspended. It looks like voluntary — compulsory.


After such news, millions of users began to change the WhatsApp messenger to Telegram, Signal and the mod version of WhatsApp. In one of his interviews, Elon Musk promoted the Signal application and called it the safest. What caused a huge demand for this messenger, and its servers just fell, unable to withstand the load.
